Tijuana: More Hype Than Hazard
Came out here for stem cell therapy at CPI. And honestly? It’s been super chill.
We’re posted up in the restaurant district. It’s walkable, safe, insane food everywhere. The vibe is solid. Not even close to what you’d expect if you only listened to the U.S. media.
Turn on the news and it sounds like TJ is a war zone. The shootouts, cartel chaos, danger around every corner. But let’s keep it real:
Most of the violence is cartel vs cartel… not tourists.
Something like 90% of the homicides are internal hits.
Mass shootings? Basically nonexistent. Unlike back home.
Yeah, a corrupt cop might shake you down if you’re driving… but if you’re not being a dumbass, you’re fine.
So is TJ dangerous? If you’re in the game or acting reckless, yeah. But if you’re here to heal, eat, and respect the place — you’re way more likely to leave with a full stomach and fresh stem cells than a horror story.
Bottom line — fear sells in the States. We’ve seen that with Covid, Russia, the list goes on and on…. But if you want the truth, come see it for yourself. 🌮🇲🇽
Hulkamania
Man… Hulk Hogan was that dude.
When I was a kid, wrestling was everything. And Hogan? He was the top of the food chain. The red and yellow, the mustache, the way he’d rip his shirt off and point at the crowd like a superhero… it was larger than life.
His run in the ’80s into the early ’90s was legendary. WrestleMania after WrestleMania, taking on giants like André and Ultimate Warrior. It felt like every kid wanted to be him. I was glued to the TV.
Then came the wild turn. 1996. WCW. Boom — NWO was born. Hogan flipped the script and became the villain. I remember thinking, “No way.” But it worked. Black and white. Hollywood Hogan. Bad guy vibes. And it made wrestling even more addictive.
Whether he was rocking the American hero look or strutting out as the NWO leader… Hogan made an impact. Still does. Dude changed the game
Rest in peace to the Hulkster 🕊
UFC Abu Dhabi Is Here
his weekend’s card in Abu Dhabi is sneaky stacked — and it could shake up the whole middleweight picture.
Robert Whittaker vs Reinier de Ridder is the main event, and it’s a big one. Whittaker’s coming off that brutal face-crank loss to Chimaev, trying to remind everyone he’s still elite. De Ridder? Slick on the ground, undefeated in the UFC, and hungry for gold.
Petr Yan vs. Marcus McGhee is a banger. Yan’s the former champ with high fight IQ and sharp boxing. McGhee’s no slouch tho , he’s ranked #12 right now and on a tear. Four straight wins, explosive striking, and hungry to break into the top 10. Let’s see if the matchmakers know something we don’t.
Other fights I’m looking forward to:
Bryce Mitchell vs Said Nurmagomedov
Muslim Salikov vs Carlos Leal
Amanda Ribas vs Tabatha Ricci
LFA 213
My teammates are going to war tomorrow night 🔥
Shealor Ladd, Sczar Charles, Chris Gonzales, Cedrick Manhoef, and Isaac Thomson — all stepping into the cage at LFA 213. At my old stomping grounds- Tachi Palace!
Proud of these savages. They’ve been grinding, and now it’s time to let it fly.
Catch them tomorrow night on UFC Fight Pass. You’ll see why the squad is different 😤
