MPG Letter #143
The National, Raising Boys, NAD+
Soaking It All In at The National
Reporting live from Chicago! 🎙️ It’s my first time in the city and I gotta say, I’m impressed. I’m out here for the National Sports Card Convention and it’s been nothing but good vibes, good people, and big-time energy.
The hobby is alive and thriving. From Panini to Topps, the booths are buzzing, and it’s clear this industry’s pumpin. I’ve been posted up with the Team No Job crew, soaking in game from some of the real ones in the space. Great group of guys… passionate, driven, and dialed in.
I got to run a stream on Whatnot last night with Uncle Bruce and we had a blast!! Cracking cards, talking shop, and bringing some fight energy to the hobby. You already know I can speak to the fight game, but there’s something about blending that world with this one that just makes sense.
I’m excited to keep learning, keep growing, and spearhead the Cali division strong. This is just the beginning.
The hobby is alive and I’m all in!!!!
Raising Boys Today… Why Is It So Hard?
Lately I’ve been thinking a lot about raising boys in today’s world.
Why do they rage? Why do they melt down over the smallest things? Not all the time… but when they snap, they snap. And what’s wild is… it only seems to happen when I’m not around. 🙃
When I’m home, things are solid. But the moment I’m away, it’s like something shifts. Full-blown meltdowns, screaming, emotional outbursts over basic stuff like food or getting dressed. It breaks your heart and drives you nuts at the same time.
And these aren’t “bad” kids. These are smart, loving, emotionally deep boys. The kind that hit you with wise little gems one minute, then go full tilt the next because something didn’t go their way.
It makes you wonder… is this just part of being a boy in today’s overstimulated world? Or is something deeper going on?
Old-school parenting was fear-based. 🤬 You got punished, yelled at, maybe even hit. That left scars. Some kids shut down. Others rebelled and got locked up in their older years… Some got medicated into silence. None of those routes feel right to me.
I’m trying to raise a strong, emotionally aware man… not suppress his spirit or break who he is. But this stuff is hard man, especially when you’re trying to do it consciously.
So I’m asking you… 🫵🏽 Parents, mentors, teachers, anyone doing this work… what’s helped you?
How do you guide a boy to regulate his emotions, especially when he’s acting out ONLY because you’re not there?
I want to hear from you. Like for real, please respond because I’m still tryna figure this shit out ya know….
Hopefully next week I can share some solution's that y'all send my way. 🙏🏽
Feeling More Drained Than Usual? It Might Be Your NAD+ Levels Dropping.
By age 40, your NAD+ levels can drop by up to 50% — leading to lower energy, slower recovery, and signs of aging that hit harder than expected.
Most people turn to NAD+ IV therapy…
But let’s be honest… it’s expensive, inconvenient, and doesn’t last long.
That’s why RHO’s Liposomal NAD+ is a game changer.
It’s easy to take (just 1 teaspoon a day), tastes good, and doesn’t have that rapid drop-off like other forms.
✔️ More natural energy
✔️ Quicker recovery
✔️ Cellular support that actually sticks
No needles. No hassle. Just real, lasting benefits.
