Self-Belief
On the latest UFC card, I heard the commentary saying that Chris Gutierrez often struggles with self-belief and negative self-talk.
This might come as a surprise to some people especially since we are the toughest athletes in the world.
But we are still human, Some more than others 🤣
Here are some ways that you can start to remove that negative programming and reinstall positive thoughts and self-talk.
The key to overcoming negative self-talk is awareness—catching those thoughts and challenging their truth.
Build a habit to catch those thoughts. Don’t let yourself run on autopilot. Check in with yourself periodically.
See how you’re talking to yourself. What kind of tone is it?
Are you always your harshest critic or your biggest fan? You gotta truly be honest with yourself and look at the man (or woman) in the mirror.
Replacing negative with positive affirmations and visualizing success usually helps rewire your mindset. That’s the beauty of the brain. It’s plastic and can reshape itself, no matter how old you are.
So surround yourself with the right supportive people who also reinforce your strengths.
It’s a process. It’s not an overnight fix. But with consistent effort, you can shift from doubt to confidence.
Give yourself a chance.
Warrior In A Garden
Jordan Peterson once said "A harmless man is not a good man. A good man is a dangerous man who has that under voluntary control."
This amazing quote resonates with me because it highlights the importance of strength combined with self-control.
Being harmless isn’t enough; true goodness comes from having the power to do harm but choosing not to.
Martial arts have been instrumental in helping me develop that voluntary control. Through intense training and discipline, you learn to harness your power, focus your energy, and remain calm under pressure.
It’s about respecting that strength and using it responsibly, not just in the cage but in everyday life.
Martial arts teach you to control not only your physical abilities but also your emotions and reactions, making you a more balanced and grounded individual.
Better to be a warrior in a garden than a gardener in a war.
We Need Something Soon
The Olympics are supposed to be fun and games. A time when we come together and support the athletes representing our country on their backs.
But this time the games were a little controversial. So it didn't bring the cohesive feel we are used to. Maybe it’s because it’s an election year? Who knows.
People still found ways to be divided. Hot subjects included women’s boxing and even breakdancing 🤣
A guy on Rogan said it’s gonna take an alien invasion 👽 to shake us up and bring us all together, and I agree with him.
We need something soon. Please save us from self-destruction.

Love that you quoted Jordan Peterson. Oh and the off world(alien intervention) - not in a positive way has been with us for years. There are some great races out there who have been helping and guiding humanity behind the scenes - conscious Beings
